Education and Training

A successful coach, team manager or any supporter of a Deaf athlete, can best show their support to the athlete by using Sign Language to break down the language barrier.

PaulCommunicatingBy learning sign language you will show a real passion to help the Deaf athlete/s to achieve their sporting goals. The support shown to the athlete and/or team will be immense.

For hearing coaches: To do this we recommend enrolling in beginner classes by contacting Community Education classes in your local area in New Zealand. The classes are only 2 hours per week for 8 weeks in 4 terms for a full year.
